Uxbridge, U.K.,  September 1st, 2010 – Xerox’s new colour multifunction printers (MFPs) combine high quality colour with advanced features that increase office productivity and reduce energy consumption.
 
Designed for medium-sized businesses and large workgroups, the new Xerox WorkCentre® 7545 and WorkCentre 7556 colour MFPs deliver colour print speeds up to 45 and 50 pages-per-minute (ppm) and 45 and 55 ppm black-and-white, respectively. The MFPs, which can copy, scan, fax and email, include advanced document management and workflow tools that add convenience and make office work easier.

The MFPs offer impressive colour quality, advanced colour controls and software tools that create business documents with superior colour, including:
  • Sharp images and crisp text at 1200 x 2400 dpi print resolution using proven HiQ LED technology on media sizes of up to SRA3 and weights of up to 300 gsm.
  • Colour by Words, a colour-editing tool that allows users to select from a unique menu of words to enhance the colour output.
  • User permissions for responsible colour ensure only authorised users have access to colour printing and other print features.
  • Optional EFI Fiery print server provides graphic arts capabilities and accelerated print processing that routes jobs to appropriate devices.
 
Enterprise efficiency
Powerful network device and document management capabilities enable businesses to access and exchange information fast from any location, securely.
  • Streamline document routing and collaboration with the powerful Extensible Interface Platform® (EIP) technology, easily create personalised applications, retrieve scanned files, and route documents to multiple destinations.
  • Device cloning tool simplifies fleet installation by automatically replicating configuration settings to all machines.
  • Standard security features such as hard disk overwrite and role based access controls to the device ensure that only authorised users have access to the device and keep customer information safe.

Environmental benefits of the WorkCentre 7545 and WorkCentre 7556 include:
  • Xerox’s Emulsion Aggregate Ultra Low-Melt toner and induction heat fusing reduces equipment energy use and fast warm-up time.
  • The innovative LED scanner consumes 1/3 less power than traditional xenon lamps while achieving a scan speed of up to 70 ipm.
  • ENERGY STAR® and Blue Angel qualified and part of the Green World Alliance, Xerox’s worldwide initiative to encourage all businesses to recycle or dispose of supplies in a manner that minimises impact on the environment.
  • Earth Smart print driver defaults can be set on the MFPs to include two-sided printing, proof print, no banner page, recycled paper and draft mode.
