Uxbridge, U.K., 8 September 2011 – Barnsley-based printing firm, Spin Print Solutions, has chosen a Xerox Colour 1000 Press, supplied by Xerox reseller Zerographic Systems Ltd, to address the growing demand for digital printing.

“We already had an extremely strong litho offering, and this new machine allows us to strengthen our digital provision,” said Dan Brook, co-director at Spin Print Solutions. “We can handle a much wider variety of stock, and the press’s clear dry ink station enables us to offer customers much more flexibility with their design work as well as fantastic print quality.”

“Upgrading from a Xerox 700 Digital Colour Press will also allow Spin Print to expand its customer base. Security features such as digital watermarks combined with increased capacity open the doors to new markets,” said Gavin Burborough, UK sales director at Zerographic Systems Ltd.

Spin Print’s management team also took a number of business development courses run in partnership with Zerographic and Xerox partner, XL. The support enabled them  to develop a new business and marketing plan, which will launch this month.

“At Xerox, we are committed to helping customers focus on their real business by offering a full solution, not just the equipment, they need to be successful,” said Mark Duffelen, director and general manager, Channels Group, Xerox U.K. & Ireland. “The business development courses will help Spin Print get the very most out of their press.”

The Xerox Colour 1000 Press was recently awarded the highest de-inkability rating –  “Good” –  from INGEDE, a group of leading European paper manufacturers representing the International Association of the Deinking Industry. The press’s clear dry ink station enables images and text to be highlighted for visual impact, or digital watermarks applied for artistic effect or security.
