UXBRIDGE, UK, December 15th 2010 – SELEX Galileo, a leader in the provision of defence electronics, signed on for Xerox’s Enterprise Print Services (EPS) in November 2008 with a view toward reducing its document-related costs. After saving 15 % of print costs over two years, SELEX Galileo is extending its contract with Xerox (U.K.) Ltd. and expects to further increase savings by better managing print across its U.K. locations.
SELEX Galileo’s five-year, multi-million pound EPS contract provides a complete view of the company’s print operations – across all office functions and print room environments – to ensure SELEX Galileo’s document output meets stringent security policies and budget targets. As a key supplier to the defence sector, SELEX Galileo relies on Xerox’s secure print solutions to protect sensitive information. Documents printed on Xerox devices are only released by authenticated users, so documents do not go unattended or unclaimed.
SELEX Galileo has benefited from Xerox EPS since November 2008 with increased productivity and lower print costs. Xerox also worked with SELEX Galileo’s existing IT service provider, CSC, to integrate the enterprise print service into its broader IT service for a seamless user experience. Over the term of the contract Xerox will continue to help SELEX Galileo reduce operational print costs across its U.K. sites in Basildon, Edinburgh, Lincoln, Luton, Portsmouth, and Southampton.
Nick Cramer, Head of Indirect Procurement and Systems at SELEX Galileo said: “Xerox is a valued partner which has worked with us and our suppliers to make a positive difference to the way we do business. Whilst Xerox focuses on streamlining our print environment to meet our cost-saving targets, customer service goals and security measures, we can stay focused on delivering state-of-the-art technology to our customers around the world.”
Peter Romaine, Director and General Manager, Global Document Outsourcing, Xerox UK said: “Organisations across the country are seeking to make significant cost savings. Companies like SELEX Galileo are increasingly turning to us as a strategic, long-term partner because we can help bring productivity and efficiency to the way they do business and support long-term growth.”
Xerox’s EPS is the only offering to manage all elements of an organisation’s print infrastructure – from the office to the in-house print centre to the virtual workplace. As the worldwide market leader in MPS, Xerox applies the same tools and techniques used to save millions for corporate customers to help clients in the public sector. Xerox was positioned by Gartner, Inc., in the Leaders Quadrant in the “Magic Quadrant for Managed Print Services Worldwide”[1] for 2010 and was recognised as a leader in IDC’s 2010 MPS MarketScape report[2].
