UXBRIDGE, U.K., February 11, 2015 – ROMAX, a marketing services company based in London, has invested in Xerox’s integrated print and e-Publishing solution, FreeFlow® Digital Publisher, to broaden its multichannel services and provide customers with a true one-stop-shop solution.
ROMAX handles every aspect of the direct marketing process from data and design through to print and delivery. The company has built an extensive customer base providing specific sector support across industries including the arts, not-for-profit, healthcare, and retail. Clients include the BBC, Plusnet, the NHS, City & Guilds and the Southbank Centre.
Offering a wide array of commercial litho and digital printing to its clients, ROMAX was looking to develop its multichannel services to align with growing customer demand to extend print content online. With the Xerox FreeFlow Digital Publisher, ROMAX is now equipped to provide its customers with a range of ePublishing services – which includes generating mobile editions of digital publications and improved form management – that complement its existing print offerings.
“Everywhere you go, everywhere you look, you see people using their smartphones and tablets. We believe publishers and marketers must make their mobile content browsable and snackable. A miniaturised version of a website will not cut it on a 5-inch screen. Customers need optimised smartphone apps and web editions that deliver the good stuff simply, alongside built-in multimedia such as video,” said Wesley Dowding, operations and technology director at ROMAX. “Xerox’s FreeFlow Digital Publisher, with integrated GTxcel technology, forms the backbone of our new digital publishing platform, publicus, which will help us to lead the way in the growing ePublishing market.”
The Xerox FreeFlow Digital Publisher will be used in conjunction with ROMAX’s Xerox iGen® 150 Press and Xerox Nuvera® 157 EA Production System. Using a PDF source file from the customer, Xerox’s software solution allows users to generate both print and mobile/online communications simultaneously using a single unified workflow. Analytics also provide insight into readership and app tracking data to help clients improve their content.
“This timely investment will help ROMAX to pursue many new revenue streams in the ePublishing space,” said Mike Holyoake, general manager, Graphic Communications Operations, Xerox U.K. “Already a well-established supplier in the print world, the addition of the Xerox FreeFlow Digital Publisher will help ROMAX to extend its reach and broaden its audience as the print industry continues to transform.”
