UXBRIDGE, U.K., June 19, 2018 – Hickling & Squires has become the first UK commercial printer to invest in Xerox’s Iridesse Production Press as it looks to offer a greater variety of colour printing to its growing customer base.
The Nottingham-based print company will use the Iridesse to bring new production-level application opportunities, including metallic dry inks, to its clients spanning the retail, leisure, education and public sectors.
With increasing demand for metallic and iridescent colour printing, the Iridesse will enable Hickling & Squires to offer these features at a higher level of quality at a lower cost, and with greater flexibility than the previous alternative of using foils. The Iridesse can produce clear, silver or gold dry inks in addition to CMYK in a single pass.
The company has also invested in a new Xerox Versant 3100 press to manage the rising volume of orders.
“Following the success of our two Xerox Versant 180 devices, we decided to upgrade to Xerox’s latest technology so we could continue to offer our clients best-in-class print,” said Lee Jordan at Hickling & Squires. “The Iridesse will enable us to stand out from the competition so we can continue to grow our business and bolster our commercial print offering with more personalised, eye-catching designs.”
“This investment in the UK’s first Iridesse is a milestone for both parties and also marks the ten year anniversary of Xerox’s partnership with Hickling & Squires,” said Mark Cannons, director and general manager, Graphic Communications, Xerox UK and Ireland. “We look forward to driving further success over the years to come.”
