Uxbridge, U.K., 1 August 2011 – Potts Print (UK), the largest commercial printing company in the North East, says it has seen a significant increase in its digital print business since installing the Xerox 4112TM Enterprise Printing System and Xerox 700 Digital Colour Press at its site in Cramlington, Northumberland.

“Since working with Xerox, the demand for digital print and direct mail work has increased so much that in the space of six months we’ve had to recruit three new staff members.” said Ian White, technical services director at Potts Print (UK). “The installation of the Xerox 4112 also has helped us combat production bottleneck issues on monochrome jobs.”

The printing, packaging and direct mail company, which has doubled both its turnover and factory space in the last five years, chose Xerox after looking for a well-rounded digital solution to complement its litho offering. It uses the Xerox equipment to produce direct mail and for short-run digital print jobs.

“Xerox’s understanding of Potts customers’ requirements has helped support the company’s growth.” said Martyn Train, general manager, Graphic Communications, Xerox UK. “We’ve worked closely with Potts to help them both increase business with current customers and attract new ones.”

The Xerox 4112 Enterprise Printing System prints at 110 pages per minute. It offers superior, 2400 x 2400-dpi image quality for printing text, graphics and pictures with extremely fine detail and tighter image registration, resulting in high-quality duplex printing. The Xerox 700 Digital Colour Press prints at 70 pages per minute in colour or black and white and provides an affordable way to start building or expanding a digital printing business.
