UXBRIDGE - Xerox today announced the Xerox Photo Kiosk, developed in partnership with Imaxel. This solution is designed for store front locations who want to offer a one hour or less, local print service for simple personalised photographic applications such as calendars, photograph albums and books, posters and photo cards.

The Xerox Photo Kiosk is aimed at serving many of the photo retailers or labs that are just beginning to use digital printing as well as digital printers, copy centres or traditional litho printers who are seeking to enter the extremely attractive photographic applications market. The Xerox Photo Kiosk is also suited to environments where there is a high level of consumer activity such as in universities and traditional retail locations.

The Xerox Photo Kiosk is supplied with over sixty different photographic templates. Consumers select the photographic product of their choice and then customise it with their photographs and messages. This simple process creates a pdf document that is then ready for the store front to print.

The solution is designed to work in tandem with the full range of Xerox production colour printers, from Xerox’s DocuColor 242 to the Xerox iGen3 Digital Production Press.

The Xerox Photo Kiosk is the first in a series of solutions that will enable Xerox customers to deliver a range of photographic products. These solutions will enable personalised photo products to be delivered locally or centrally, depending on the speed of turnaround required and complexity of the job.

One of the first users of the Xerox Photo Kiosk is Jaycee in Abbeygate Street, Galway, Ireland. “Our customers love the Xerox Photo Kiosk, they find it easy to use and excellent value for money. The most popular application amongst our customers is the personalised calendar,” said Tom Cunningham, Managing Director, Jaycee.

The Xerox Photo Kiosk is available immediately and is sold through the Xerox direct sales force, indirect partners and concessionaires.
