In a deal won by Xerox partner SCC,the investment in the Xerox 700 provides The Photo Bookstore Ltd with the capacity to bring photo printing services in-house and have ownership of the whole print production supply chain. The Xerox 700’s affordability, productivity and high print quality also means that The Photo Bookstore products are far more cost effective to produce and the company is seeing increased turnover since its installation in May 2009.
“The Xerox 700 is ideally placed to take us into the digital print market and deliver profitable colour applications such as photo books. It is important for us as a company to adapt with the ever changing market and this Xerox machine is an essential part of our overall progression. Our main priority is to offer our customers a complete service from print to bind. With the advice of SCC, we were able to identify the Xerox 700 as the right technology to allow us to do this,” said Ian Bailey, managing director, The Photo Bookstore Ltd. “Over the course of the next two years we’ll hopefully be on track to invest in a Xerox iGen 4 machine if this new business continues to be successful.”
Peter Taylor, director, production and graphic communications, Xerox UK added, “The digital market offers businesses like The Photo Bookstore Ltd the opportunity to grow its business into new areas. The Xerox 700 will place The Photo Bookstore Ltd on a growth curve for future digital developments.”
The PhotoBookstore’s new web site (www.thephotobookstore.com) will be launched on the 19th August.
