UXBRIDGE -- - MyPhotoFun, originally an initiative of the Dutch-based digital printer TED Gigaprint, now an independent company, will exhibit with Xerox, the technology and services enterprise, at Photokina 2006. Photokina takes place at the Messe exhibition centre Kln, Germany, 26 September - 1 October 2006. The Xerox stand is B48 in hall 4.1
MyPhotoFun and Xerox will be demonstrating a unique, easy to use Web based system for arranging digital photos into bound albums, posters, calendars and other products. Customers using the MyPhotoFun service can download free software from www.MyPhotoFun.com or related business partners to enable them to enhance photos, add captions and select a choice of albums, formats and layouts. Customers then upload the file for printing by MyPhotoFun print partners using unique automated Web-order-to-print software. The finished product, printed on a Xerox iGen3 Digital Production Press, is delivered to the customer within three to five days, after payment is received.
"Seeing is believing, and the value of MyPhotoFun becomes evident almost immediately to the customers and partners who try it out," said Tico van der Linden, CEO, MyPhotoFun. "We're filling a huge demand in the marketplace. Our customers benefit from high-quality prints at half the cost of film prints, delivered in easy-to-assemble bound photo albums that match the quality of corporate brochures."
"Partners are integral to our business and Xerox is happy to supply MyPhotoFun with the best-fit print technology for their needs," said Anoush Gordon, Director and General Manager of the Production Group, Xerox UK. "MyPhotoFun is an excellent example of how Xerox's integrated workflow helps our customers to capture new business, creating for MyPhotoFun an easy-to-use on-demand service that delivers positive benefits to their customers."
The MyPhotoFun products are printed on the Xerox iGen3, a third generation imaging system that provides high quality colour prints at a cost that makes short run print and personalised print jobs economically viable. The iGen3 connects directly to customers' networks and the Internet enabling a streamlined workflow from remote submission, to proofing and print-on-demand.
Personalised photo albums have found recognition from the customers of travel company Thomson, which offers them in conjunction with Xerox's Graphic Arts Premier Partner DSI Group, based in Rainham, Essex. "The personalised photo albums add real value to our customers and help them complete their travel experience with us, by being able to produce an album to remember their holiday by," said Denise Cooper, Customer Documentation and Project Manager, Thomson.
