UXBRIDGE – Multisets has announced today that is has invested in Xerox’s 650 Continuous Feed Printing System. The machine which will be installed at the printer’s Swindon office in June, will be used to fulfil the requirements of a new customer contract and subsequently generate a 10% revenue increase for Multisets.

Steve Lee, Operations Director at Multisets, said, “With the installation of the Xerox 650 our existing clients will see a greater benefit from us – we can add more value to their print jobs by adding personalisation and keeping all of their sensitive data in-house.”

The new customer contract will see Multisets producing books with confidential data that consist of a number of individual parts which are then collated into sets. The Xerox 650 is a natural fit for publishing applications such as books. The new high-speed technology and a streamlined workflow yield the high productivity customers need, while sharp text and graphics ensure the professional look and feel readers expect.

The Xerox 650 helps Multisets deliver added value to customers’ print jobs, by providing a responsive, cost-effective service. It is the latest addition to the printer’s portfolio of Xerox machines, which includes a Xerox DocuColor 5252 and also a new DocuColor 260.

Unique to Xerox’s continuous feed product range is the flash-fusing technology, which was the deciding factor behind Multisets decision to invest in the Xerox 650. A unique process that uses minimal heat and no contact or pressure on the paper, flash-fusing eliminates the risk of paper bruising and provides customers with the choice to print on carbonless paper.

Commenting on the new contract with Multisets, Peter Taylor, Director and General Manager Production and Graphic Arts, Xerox UK, said, “We are excited to see how Mutlisets will be using the Xerox 650 and also how the company benefits using Xerox’s latest technology – both in terms of print performance, quality, and operating costs. During consultation with Multisets about this machine, we felt that the Xerox 650 would ultimately be the best-fit for the business and deliver on the business objectives set out. ”

The Xerox 650 can print up to 616 A4 images per minute. The Xerox 650/1300 is a natural fit for publishing applications such as books and manuals. New high-speed technology and a streamlined workflow yield the high productivity customers need, while sharp text and graphics ensure the professional look and feel readers expect.
