UXBRIDGE – Image Digital Limited, a new commercial printer in Tunbridge Wells , Kent, has invested in a Xerox DocuColor 8000AP to aid delivery of high-quality, short-run print jobs, such as brochures and marketing materials, to customers that include blue chip businesses. Since its inception in June 2009, Image Digital has used the digital print knowledge and experience of its people to deliver exceptional print services to customers.

Despite the tough economic conditions in the UK, Chris Mallinson and the rest of the Image Digital team recognised the opportunity that digital print offered, especially as it has now become a mainstream printing technology. The decision to invest in a Xerox DocuColor 8000AP as one of Image Digital’s first machines came from the team’s knowledge of the print market and Xerox’s ability to deliver the right technology and unparalleled customer support to those looking to set up a new business.

Chris Mallinson, managing director of Image Digital said, “Getting back into the print market is not such a gamble in this economic climate if you truly understand the business of printing and you are listening to what the customers need. At Image Digital we feel like we are getting it right. Our business is about having the right technology in place, such as the Xerox 8000 AP, and then offering customers a fresher, slicker service.”

“Although I had experience with Xerox in the past, when setting up this business I took an opportunity to review the whole marketplace. In the end we chose the Xerox 8000AP for its consistent speed and accuracy,” Mallinson added.

Peter Taylor, director & general manager, Large Enterprise & Graphic Communications, Xerox UK, added, “It’s exciting to see fresh businesses , like Image Digital, coming to fruition in an industry that has seen more than its fair share of challenges this year. At Xerox, we were able to collaborate with Image Digital to deliver the right technology that fitted with its business model and deliver high quality, colour documents to customers.”
