UXBRIDGE - Aldridge Print Group (APG), the Mitcham-based commercial print provider, has invested in two new Xerox machines to serve the company’s fast-growing digital division and deliver excellent black and white and colour documents to customers. The installation of a Xerox DocuColor 5000AP and a Xerox 700 Digital Press will complement APG’s offset business and provide the capability to run variable data, short-run jobs as well as enable the business to test new markets, such as web services.

APG’s purchase of Xerox digital equipment will support new print jobs that feed directly into the company’s profitability and diversify the company’s offering away from traditional lithographic printing. APG expects to see a 20% growth this year which comes from offering new and existing customers a more complete in-house service.

Robert Aldridge, director of Aldridge Print Group, said, “APG has always invested in the latest technology and thrives on innovation. In these tough economic times, we have chosen to invest in new areas of our business so that we can continue to thrive and remain competitive in the marketplace. For our digital equipment, we looked for a technology provider who could share our values and the company’s pre-existing knowledge of the digital sector led us to pick Xerox. This was obviously the right decision as our sales are up and we now have access to some of the newest technology on the market, which is supported by Xerox’s superior customer service.”

Peter Taylor, director, Production and Graphic Arts, Xerox UK said, “Earlier this year, I discussed how UK printers were hungry for new ideas that could maximise the use of their print equipment and help drive growth in their businesses. As we move towards the end of a tough year, it is great to see customers like Aldridge Print Group demonstrating how an investment in the right technology can facilitate superb results and further drive their business. Such tactics also help APG and others to be better prepared for recovery when the economy picks up again.”
