UXBRIDGE, U.K., January 21, 2014 – Xerox today announced that marketing communications provider Romax has installed a Xerox iGen® 150 Press at its print facility in London to meet increased customer demand.
Following a significant new business win in the telecommunications sector and an increased volume of work across the business, Romax selected the iGen 150 specifically for its productivity, high colour accuracy and the added flexibility of its larger sheet size. The Xerox press will support a surge in demand for next-day and same-day turnarounds at the company.
“There is always something new going on at this company, so we want the most recent and up-to-date technology available,” said board director, Wes Dowding. “Xerox’s forward-looking approach and unrivalled equipment allow us to continually take our business to the next level.”
The iGen’s larger sheet size (364mm x 660mm) will open up new revenue streams by enabling Romax to provide a more diversified product portfolio – from postcards to printed packaging and, in particular, for its Photoleaf product range.
The new Xerox equipment forms part of the company’s wider business strategy for the next five years, enabling Romax to expand the flexibility of its digital output as it continues to grow.
“With the installation of the iGen 150, Romax will be able to produce more jobs and deliver faster turnarounds,” said Mike Holyoake, general manager, Graphic Communications Operations, Xerox U.K. “The increased job flexibility and improved quality of output will cement Romax’s reputation as a leading provider in the field.”
