With almost 500 crew taking part, 15 stopovers on six continents, and a fleet of racing yachts to maintain over the course of nearly a year, Xerox will support the race by helping to deliver Clipper’s global publications – from newsletters to international sales documents.
The race will set off from the Southampton on 31 July with each of its ten stripped down ocean racing yachts carrying the Xerox brand. The race’s route will take the fleet toRio de Janeiro,Cape Town, the west and east coasts ofAustralia,New Zealand,Singapore,Qingdao,California,New York,Nova Scotia, Derry-Londonderry and theNetherlands. The race returns to theU.K.on 22 July 2012.
The race was established 15 years ago by Sir Robin Knox-Johnston, the first man to sail solo and non-stop around the world. Its objective is to give ordinary people the chance to do something truly extraordinary. To date more than 3,000 men and women from all walks of life have made the race a turning point in their lives.

The Clipper Race
Clipper 11-12 will be the eighth edition of the biennial event operated by Clipper Ventures Plc. The race was established by Sir Robin Knox-Johnston to give everyone, regardless of sailing experience, the opportunity to experience the exhilaration of ocean racing. More than 500 people representing more than 40 nations will compete in Clipper 11-12. The only qualification for the race is the minimum age of 18 – there is no upper age limit.
