Uxbridge, U.K., May 25th, 2011 – Print service providers looking to expand their digital businesses have a new option for producing sophisticated, full-colour sales collateral, direct-marketing pieces and photo publishing products – the Xerox Colour 800 Press.
The system – printing at 80 pages per minute – is designed for commercial and in-plant print operations as well as marketing communication firms. Like the Xerox Colour 1000, which was launched last year, it is a high-volume device which can produce high-definition image quality on a wide range of paper stock, but at a lower speed than the Colour 1000.
The Xerox Colour 800 Press is positioned between the Xerox DocuColor® 7002/8002 Digital Colour Presses and the 100 page-per-minute Xerox Colour 1000 Press.
It prints at 2400 x 2400 dpi for excellent sharpness and uniformity and uses Xerox’s new low-melt Emulsion Aggregation (EA) Dry Ink, which delivers an offset-like finish. EA Dry ink also has good de inkability credentials. The Colour 800 Press does not support the Colour 1000’s clear dry ink option.
