Uxbridge, U.K., October 6th, 2010 – Xerox today announced two new additions to its range of indoor aqueous printers; the co-branded Xerox/Epson Stylus Pro 9900 and Xerox/Epson Stylus Pro 7900.
“These two new products add to the top end of the Xerox indoor aqueous product range,” said Howard Witt, Wide Format Manger, Xerox Europe. “Xerox has offered Epson co-branded products for a number of years. The combined Xerox/Epson approach offers a best of breed aqueous wide format printer, unique Xerox software products, as well as Xerox’s first class nationwide sales, service and support.”
The 24" Xerox/Epson Stylus Pro 7900 and 44" Xerox/Epson Stylus Pro 9900 set a new standard for the professional large format printer market. An improved ink formulation, a new printer mechanism and a raft of new technologies make these two new additions to the Xerox/Epson Stylus Pro range ideal for high value production graphics. In addition, the optional calibration and verification system, the Epson SpectroProofer, means that the Xerox/Epson Stylus Pro 7900 and the Xerox/Epson Stylus Pro 9900 can be a confidently used for remote proofing.
The new printer mechanism implemented in these two products builds on Epson’s MicroPiezo TFP (Thin Film Piezo) print head, introduced with the launch of the Epson Stylus Pro 11880. Both the number of nozzles and throughput have been doubled in the Xerox/Epson Stylus Pro 7900 and Xerox/Epson Stylus Pro 9900, resulting in a maximum speed of up to 40 square metres per hour. At these increased print speeds, the new 10-channel MicroPiezo TFP print head ensures production of the highest image quality.
The Xerox/Epson Stylus Pro 9900 and Xerox/Epson Stylus Pro 7900 are available immediately.
