UXBRIDGE, U.K., March 31, 2014 – Minuteman Press has installed a Xerox Colour 1000 Press at its King’s Lynn branch to meet increased customer demand and same-day turnarounds at the company.

As a supplier of e-cards to three online retailers, including special occasion provider The Card Gallery, Minuteman Press selected the Colour 1000 Press for its increased workload capacity and high colour accuracy. With up to 75 orders per day – all of which require completion within four hours of receipt – the device will allow Minuteman Press fulfil these orders on time, to the highest quality.

“Minuteman Press has developed its digital capabilities alongside Xerox’s printing technology and this latest investment will further enhance our offerings in the marketplace,” said Keith Boyce, director at Minuteman Press. “We are confident we will continue to grow this business with Xerox’s support and high-end technology.”

The level of after-sales support Xerox provides and the speed at which engineers can be dispatched also helps Minuteman Press to maintain high uptime levels when dealing with demanding e-orders. The Colour 1000 Press is already helping to reduce rejection rates from 10 per cent down to 0.1 per cent.

With device features such as booklet making and Xerox SquareFold® trimming, the company expects to improve its business offerings in the greetings card industry and increase productivity with more automated processes.

“With the installation of the Colour 1000 Press, Minuteman Press will be able to streamline its printing operations and deliver faster turnarounds,” said Mike Holyoake, general manager, Graphic Communications Operations, Xerox U.K. “This increased flexibility will help Minuteman Press expand its digital output and attract more customers looking for innovative printing solutions.”
